Just got 1042 home...even though it only has 7600 on the odometer, going over everything to see what it's gonna need.

Re: Sy 1042

Cladding does need some love....truck has sat a little while. Still runs fantastic...other than a good detailing, pinion seal is leaking a little, a/c needs a vacuum pulled and charged, window motor needs replacing.

Certainly don't want to let the air out of your sails but how did you validate such low mileage? There are some indicators which lead me to believe it has more miles than that.

I'm not saying that the mileage is accurate... Yet. Spent all afternoon on the lift and there are many indicators that its right. I'm currently working a few other angles to get some extra history on the truck. I want to be certain I represent it accurately....btw, the title from tenn was written over the last time in 07...the mileage looks right there.

Visuals/signs can be deceiving when it comes to mileage. Everyone remembers that super low mileage blue typhoon in philly that was stored wrong and looked more like 100k rather than the actual 5k it had on it.

I've had two Syclones, both with verified low-40k mileage. But because of how they were cared for, they are world's apart in condition. One looked like 20k, the other looks like 80k. It's all about upkeep and storage.

Fortunately, it's all just plastic and metal and can be cleaned and restored.

Steve, I agree and thus the reason I didn't make my statement dogmatically. It may very well be a 7,xxx mile truck but I have my suspicions.

For instance, why change OEM tires on any sub 15,000 original mile truck with what appears to be a set now worn to about 60-70%.

If you see some of the guys "handy work" thats been done on it, it may explain the tires.

It's worthy of a sodomy charge. I will post some pics later of it.

Truck looks good. With that low mileage I would say either some Ty mirrors or stock mirrors would make it look even better.

We've discovered that this truck used to be titled in 808. I think I saw it maybe 15 years ago. Got any current pics?
