switching to RWD

okay, i have my trans out and transfer case unbolted.. what can i do to get the drive shaft back on without the Tcase? do i have to get a 2wd output shaft and housing or is thier somehting else i can do wihtout taking the transmission apart? any ideas?

You need to disassemble the tranny and swap to a 2wd output shaft and tailhousing.

Why do you want RWD anyway? It's kinda the whole point of a syty :wink:

Also make sure you get 2 wd spindles.

DO NOT run the 4 wd spindles without the cv shaft bolted in place.
At least disassemble the shaft and run just the outer joint no shaft,
that bolt is needed to hold the hub together.

2wd spindles DO NOT work with 4x4/awd suspensions i have had my front axle out for a long time now and drove it like that. i left in the outer piece of the cv shafts that go through the hub so it would stay in place
