im slowly building a system in my SY so far i got Q logic kickpanels by my feet with focal component set some focal 4" in my dash but i need bass badly, can you guys suggest anything for me or tell me what you have done....i do have some 8" lying around but they only go in ported boxes which might be too big, also i dont wanna sacrifice room behind seats too bad cuz my drivers seat is all the way back , thanks :tup:

your best bet would be to put one JBL10WS6 inbetween the seats right behind the center console.. thats all the bass youll need trust me!! I had two in my SY I almost went DEAF!!!!! I still have the extra one that is still in the sealed box if your interested it fits behind the seats if thats the way you want to go PM me back if your interested???

i have a jl10w3 behind the drivers seat. lost 2 notches........kinda sucks. i have a friend that said he would hook me up with a box in the bed but i would have to cut a six inch square hole in the back of the cab...............but i would get my leg room back, and way better bass

I am 6'3" so I can't lose any leg room. I also need a place for my laptop for data logging/tuning so I do need some space. I have one eight in my Sy. I had it behind my driver seat but it alway sounded muddled. I have experiment with it position and so far I like it best between the seats and fiing forward as suggested above. I also had kick panels, but I always kicked them. Some of it probably because of my long legs, I am going mount them in the door where the pocket were. My amp is above the jack.

thanks for the suggestions i am gonna try a test box behind the center console for 1 8" 1.5 ported sub firing forward with vent on the side and see how well it fits

I am not done with my system yet, I need to brace and fiberglass the inside of my box, and I want to get better amps the jl 250/1 and jl 300/4 I have a 10w3 behind the drivers seat and mb quarts in kick panels. plus i laied down a few layers of sound deadning material on the floor and back of the cab. still need to do the doors and roof. but I have been too busy. and when i do get a chance to work on it i am chasing down squeeks, rattles and vibrations. one day it will be as quiet as a lexus or mercedes............well maybe not but better than it is now.
