Stuck injectors???/

Hello all, My truck has been parked for 2 years. Now I have her ready to fire back up, I have injector pulse and I have spark, she will run for a second with a shot of carb clean. they are 50 lb injectors I got them from RPM a while ago I checked them with a meter and I got 12.3 ohms on each one. I am not getting the clicking sound from the injector. I guess I want to know is there a way I can free them up myself? I want to hear her run for more than just a second. LOL TIA

Are you sure youve got pressure at the rail? Do you have a noid to make sure the ECM is commanding an injector pulse? It doesnt seem likely that all your injectors would be stuck closed.

yes I checked the harness with a noid light all 6 connectors fire. I have plenty of fuel pressure also dont know exactly what the psi is but there is pressure .

You need to put a gauge on it and see what pressure is. There could be a few things wrong. I had this happen to me and I thought it was my pump, even though I could hear it coming on but it turned out to be the hose that goes from the pump to hte hanger assembly. It blew a hole in it. Get you a gauge and check it out.

ok I turned the key and I get 37lbs of fp and it holds the pressure. The pump runs for 2 sec then shut off. And I have the hotwire kit for the fuel pump.

I know this sounds obvious, but you did check your ECM fuses? If the injectors were stuck upon startup maybe they pulled too much current and popped a fuse??

Ultimate turns on also. Have signal to injectors. have fuel pressure. Just no fuel comming out of injectors.

Just throwing this out there. Have you checked all your grounds? particulary the ecm ground?

Re: Stuck injectors???/

Its hard to believe all 6 injectors went out at the same time .1 or 2 could clog up at the same time , but all 6 is a sign to look around still . Chances are , there is another issue thats unresolved .

CEL light with key on?

Check for EGR stuck open. Check for fouled plugs. Water in the gas. Bad ECM ground.

Just some items from the manual.

Maybe disconnect and reconnect all ECM plugs to "clean" them.

Re: Stuck injectors???/

yes the Check engine light is on, There is fuel pressure, there is injector signal , there is spark,I understand the Bad gas thing but the gas still starts the truck. I mean while removing the injectors to check them a bunch of fuel fell in the injector holes and after putting the injectors back she fired right up and ran until the fuel ran out. so I guess what im getting at is at the worst I should get a BAD running truck. I have a stehoscope and I am not hearing the injectors clicking.

Could it just simply be a bad ECM... do you have access to another one you could try? A circuit can supply voltage, while not being able to supply current - current is what opens the injectors (well, yes, voltage is a component too :D ) ...So, you can show voltage at each injector connector, but not have the current to fire them.

Re: Stuck injectors???/

I noticed that you have 50# injectors. Do you have any extra injectors lying around to plug in the harness just to see if they "click"? Or you could test a injector directly to see if it clicks. At least that will narrow your possiblities down.
