The reason you don't see Larry Larson on street outlaws has to with the whole NHRA and how they said they'd revoke anyone's NHRA license if they were caught racing on the show since the NHRA obviously doesn't promote street racing. Why do you think you don't see Jeff Lutz on there anymore? Also if anyone caught it, Daddy Dave either mentioned or slipped up by saying they run a $10k traction control device in their cars.

We have been working with Shannon at Davis for years. We have worked with the PROFILER for over a year now. Like any traction control or wheel management device, this device helps you figure out when to bring the power in. You will run your fastest when the T/C is NOT doing anything.
At these levels, all the cars have some version of this to find the optimal run parameters. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Lots of smoke and mirrors...Lots of two-faced prima Donnas out there.

How else can a person put 2000+HP to the ground on a 275 drag radial?
Or what is it now......3000-4000HP on 315's?
It boggles my mind how effective those systems are at making all this happen in 4-4.5 seconds at speeds reaching WELL into the 190MPH range in a distance of only an 1/8 mile.

I just assumed it monitored rolling speed version driveshaft speed?
And then ramped up boost (and/or timing?) as traction allowed?
It's incredible science.
I need to make time to read more about it.
I can see why it costs so much.
Such technology is a "must have" if you plan to be competitive.
Which leads us back to the inconceivable amount of money (and time!) it takes to be truly competitive, much less in the winner's circle on a regular basis!
