Strange noise under boost?

I launched my truck today for the first time and noticed right away that while under boost it sounds like its sucking air. It's rather loud and very noticeable from inside the truck with the windows up, i recently replaced all the vacuum lines on the truck and i don't know if this is related to the noise but my heater/ac controls don't work anymore, they did before i changed the lines so i double checked and there all connected, any ideas?

Re: Strange noise under boost?

make sure your check valves are ok and in the correct way. theres a pic of the layout somewhere on this site.

Boost leak? Do you have the rubber hose from the turbo to the intercooler? If so, inspect that very closely.

It seems to be fine, is there an aftermarket replacement for it?

What way should they be facing? All the diagrams i have looked at don't specify direction...

I can only find 2 places on my plenum for vac lines, one in the rear facing the firewall and the other in the front facing the rad. In the diagram posted it looks as if there is 3, one under the TB, is there?

Theres the one that goes to the vapor canistor. it has a check valve and goes to the black can under the remote oil filter on driver side. It goes to a small tube under I think the TB in front below the throttle linkage.

According to the vac diagram on my truck (the sticker by the fan shroud) the valve nearest to the firewall (the one with 3 fittings) should be facing the opposite direction compared to the diagram listed above. I turned it around and now all my heater/ac controls function normally.
