My old TOTALLY 100% stock (from tires to air box) 2000 Lightning ran 13.3 at cecil in Maryland with my 300+ pound ass behind the wheel. It was a bit of a freak. It was colder the day I ran and that helps them a lot. Just fyi so you know that there are some freaks out there.

Sorry I should have said I haven't seen it done in my neck of the woods. The conditions out here suck royaly. The best time I've gotten out of my Harley so far is 14.8's..although they tell me the truck can do 14.5's. But I know a guy around Mass that does flatt 13's in the same truck stock! Now I don't know about you but thats is crazy...we weigh 780 lbs more than a lIghtning and run 2lbs of boost less as well.

WOW! I never heard of a harley going that fast stock but not too many heard of a 2000L going as fast as mine did when it was stock so who knows. I remember the day I ran the 13.3 it was 2001 and there were a bunch lightnings there including some new 2001s. They were giving me a hard time because I was a good bit faster then them with 20 less horsepower. I actually had a friend of mine check to make sure that it was totally stock including the chip since I wasnt familar with them and it was all stock. Its funny because I bought it from a friend that had it for like 4-6 weeks and sold it to me because he thought it was slow. Now we both own typhoons.

i agree 100% with the freaks deal. i count count how many times ive seen 2 indentical cars one modded and one stock, and the stock one slaughter the modded one. :dunno: i guess it depends on which robot builds the engine. :) i think its even more funny when someone has a car they have dumped tons of money in and have it heavily modded and get smoked by a stocker of the same sort.

It's not freaky it's just like our trucks, it's all in the tuning, some are OK, some leave alot to be desired.

thats true also, but just like what was previously posted two cars, brand new, bone stock, one runs a full second faster than the other is kind of a freak. i know the driver and other factors have a lot to do with it, but, some cars come from the factory with a lot more than the car with the same options that just rolled off the assembly line ahead of it. it just one of those things i guess.

I'm almost welling to bet you want hear to many more running that fast stock :rotf:

Also, I thought I would mention, the 1999 Lightning has a different IC...I'm not sure if the 2000 L was the same or not. It seems the newer L's has an extra row in the IC core. There is no telling how much this adds to the newer L's and also no way of telling if a 99'L has been upgraded...short of pulling the blower. So there is tons of stuff you can do to these trucks but yet still remain stock looking. Heck, a drop in K&N felter is worth 5rwhp on the dyno and you have to pop the air box to see it.
