10/18/06

Made a large order yesterday for all the tubing, etc. The supplier though had to send their 3" mandrel tooling out for repairs. Said it will be 1-2 weeks out.

I am still moving forward though as much as possible so when the tubes do arrive we will be ready to rock and roll.

I mocked up a complete frame/engine/manifold/turbo for the test fitting. Although I have done this before I wanted to redo all my jigs.

All the flanges should be here early next week.

Emails were sent to everybody confirming order, etc. If you have not gotten that and confirmed the correct information with me please check your email (one tied to paypal if you used paypal).

I will keep everybody up to date as things progress.

I saw the mockup last night......I don't think it can get any more accurate than this.

He literally made a table from 1/2 a frame, an engine, a manifold, and some scrap tubing for legs.

I was impressed.

Will this setup have the provision for the wastegates that are made functional? It seems like some have the extra little "leg" that kinda comes off the side so if your welded plate was machined out and made functional, it could dump into the exhaust. I'm still buying it, just checking.

Re: Stock Turbo 3" Downpipe

Not sure what your asking. I think you are refering more toward PTE style downpipes where the wastegate flapper assy is part of the downpipe.

The stock turbo is not setup the same way.

I will have it so you can knock out the wastegate service port (which I heavily suggest). This will allow for more flow and better boost control.

You can somewhat see how the service port is used in THIS picture.

Well crud, just a little late on this. Let me know of any spares or purchase back-outs. I'm a patient customer. No hurry. It won't go on for this season anyway.

Also PM sent...

Not to change the topic but is there any gains to be had with one on a stock truck?

There trucks are street driven also & stock engines I believe?
So sure, if it is better on a track, then sure it would be better on the street.
It will free up the breathing.
But if you have a bad flowing muffler, then, no, it will probably not help at all. :2cents:
