stock keyless entry.... yes we're talkin about this again!!!

ok... after using the search feature!!!!

i found pages and posts upon posts of how to get a new keyless entry remote to work... now in these posts i also came across several people having the same problem i'm having and no one offered a solution.

this is kinda weird... when i ground out the terminal in the top right of the ALDL nothing happens. When i first tried it, it worked... and the remote worked... then i unplugged the battery, and hooked it up again and the remote doesnt work. i tried grounding out the terminal again and the doors dont lock and unlock like theyre supposed to. am i missing something in the procedure?

heres what im doing... i got a paperclip and im putting one end in the upper right, and the other in the lower left and nothing happens.

anyone have some bright ideas?

Sounds like you have a relay that's energized maybe.

I had this problem with my add on harness when it wasn't grounding ... I'd suggest tracing the ground on the keyless

Are you doing it with the key on or off? I think you have to have the key on dont you?

I know i got my remote in i bought off ebay for 15 shipped and grounded like said above and they cycled and i hit a button on the remote and my keyless entry is now back up and working and i love it.

Mainly cause i lost the door key and until now coultn lock they truck up totally.

make sure you are getting the paperclip in the hole all the way, and id use a small wire instead may work better.

If anyone needs a remote I bought a new one for my Typhoon and ended up putting in an aftermarket 2-way remote start so I have no need for it.

yeah i tried it all key on, key off, paperclip in the holes then turning on the key... maybe i need to unhook the battery again or something i dunno... if none of that works then ill pull out the console and see whats up with the unit itself... and i'll make sure i post results since there arent any solutions in past threads.
