Hrrrm... I wonder if I should just try and find a 168 tooth wheel that is drilled for a 10.5" clutch.... that'd be easier

i 168 tooth flywheel will not fit in the lt1 bellhousing

and like i said earlier the lt1 flywheel is specific to the lt1 trans so if your using an LTx trans you MUST use an lt1 flywheel

is your trans lsx based or lt1 based?

when using an lsx based trans a stock 4.3 5 speed flywheel can be used (i recommend it also) along with a stock 4.3 starter
Mid 90's Camaro...that's all I know.

Nope. my trans is from a 305 (1988) F-body, but it's using a bellhousing from a fullsize 75 or so truck so I can fit a 168 under there (it's on them motor right now over my 168 flexplate). Trying to get a lightish flywheel without spending a ton of $$$

Tippman243,

Are you aware that my truck is a working 6-spd AWD 4.3 Syclone?

I'm not bragging, it just seems like you are not understanding that I have one that works.

No offense,

Robert Lone

Please don't take that the wrong way...

Yeah, thats happened a couple times.... T56 is too heavy for the 1 extra gear (it's the same ratio anyway)

It's like 35% heavier than the T-5 ... with the f-body gears it's almost the same anyway.... my OD is .68 to the T56 .62

my 6th gear is .50

only the 93 model year t56's got the .68 6th gear ratio

What, no love for the mutant? I've got my own mutant now, don't worry. And potentially another in the works, but that's under wraps until further notice
