The relay is on the starter or built in. Purple wire is a must. Can someone please tell me where the starter relay is located on my Syclone?
Well there isn't one from the factory but it's common to add one. Search "Purple Wire Mod." Typically a relay is added to the starter wiring and sits somewhere on the firewall to get the full voltage necessary to trigger the starter solenoid.
The core issue is that the factory wiring is barely sufficient, and now that your ignition switch is 25 years old and wiring is old and tired, it can't move the 1.21 gigawatts necessary to trigger the starter solenoid reliably.
So, it's probably time to add the relay which is I assume why you're asking where the relay is ... because your truck has a case of the clickies. So, in any case, the answer is "purple wire mod."

Ok. ThanksIf you switch to the later perminate magnet starter, you shouldn't need to improve the wiring
