this just started tonight after i checked my fuel pressure. i have a stock chip and injectors. my fp is set at 47lbs. and at wot my milivolts read 900-950 range so i know its not to lean. ever after i checked the fp, at wot the truck looses rpm and sputters, until i let off the throttle, if i get into boost and not slam on the gas its fine, what the heck is wrong any ideas? thank you in advance

Re: sputtering at wot?

let me rephrase that its more of a chugging at wot. the boost will build fast and then a fast chugging

Re: sputtering at wot?

Sounds like an ignition misfire. See if maybe you move one of the wires off the dis. cap. Try spraying all the ignition wires, plugs, cap and coil with water and go for a drive. See if it gets worse, if it does there is something leaking your spark. Goodluck

I had a couple of gas filters clog and both times it felt very sluggish and chuggie at hi boost or hi rpms. it would fine 'till the injectors couldn't supply enough fuel. Hope this is whats happening on your truck as it is easy and unexpensive to fix. Good luck.

If I were you I would check your VAC lines. I had one pop off on the MAP and FPR circut and had this problem. Are you getting a CEL? Check your WG/Turbo VAC lines aswell. Do you ahve an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? Why is it set at 47 if so? Is your motor stock? If it is stock then 47 is way too high.

Change your igniton coil. It's cheap and it's easy. I had the same problem and I can't believe I did everything EXCEPT change the igniton coil.
