took engine out just now cause there was a horrible noise comming from the oilpan. I took the car to a few people and they said by the sounds of the engine I spun a bearing. GREAT  BUT I still had 50lbs of oil pressure. But the sound was bad . so when i removed thr flywheel from the motor I saw that is was craked all the way around the bolts. So I am wondering are there any obvious signs of a spun bearing like metal in the oil pan or do I have to remove all the main caps to look. and If I find nothiing can i use the same bearings. They only have 4000 miles on them. TIA

The noise was more than likely the cracked flex plate. Ive been fooled a couple of times them by them in the past.

Since you have the engine out Id put fresh bearings in it as well as a new oil pump since you will be able to access all that by just dropping the oil pan. At the very least install a new rear main and front pump seal in the trans as each of those are ~10min tasks.

thanks thats what i thought. Already put new oil pump today and got the new flywheel. just changed both rear main seal and front trans seal 4000 miles ago and both look great. Im going to do an allnighter I want this finished . I found no metal in the oil pan so i think thats a good sign. so its going back together.
