Spring '05 Dyno Day (Seattle, WA)

NW guys...I thought i'd ask around about interest in a dyno day perhaps this spring. Still 4-5 months away, but I thought i'd bring it up now and perhaps we can schedule something in the next month or two so everyone interested can plan for it (oregon or idaho guys).

I can not remember the name at this time, but there was an AWD dyno that the NWSTP went to about 4 years ago. I didn't make it so I don't know where it is, but can easily find out. It is in the Bellevue/Kirkland (around seattle) area. Roland will know where it is.

Thought it may be a fun spring event to kick off the summer and maybe some of you would like to know what kind of power you have prior to summer racing.

Anyway, no dates or times right now, I just wanted to see who is interested and i'd be happy to set it up when the time comes.

Thanks,
Jeff Norman

Maybe the issue is that you're wanting to wait so long. I want to dyno, I just don't want to wait until spring to do it. The local WRX guys were trying to setup a dyno day which I signed up for but it fell through. Hopefully someone gets something going sooner than later around here (Portland area that is, although Seattle is close enough for me).

You might want to keep an eye on WRX or Evo boards, there's a pretty big turbo AWD crowd out there if you look beyond our trucks that may be interested in doing an AWD dyno day.

Hey Jeff, this is the first time I've seen this thread.

Maybe it would be a good idea to see if any WRX or Evo owners in the area would like to dyno as well. It may bring the cost of 2 or 3 pulls down a good bit if we have more AWD cars show up.

I'll be there, hopefully with a truck but who knows since the funds are in very short order.

ok i'll look around...

i was only saying spring to help people plan and I figuered many may have the trucks locked up for the winter.

some of us have 3 stored away :rotf:

I'd be interested in just meeting up even. Although it would be nice to see what my stock Sy does on a dyno. Maybe even get her tuned up a bit. But I won't be putting the Sy back on the road 'til at least March.

I would show up just to meet everyone and check out all the cool rigs. Keep me posted on what's happening. By the way Kurt, great picture on your signature. I found the quote below that you may like.

"Who is Joe Namath? This is a guy who, if he played in the league today, I'd probably just go hit him late and see what he did, just for the hell of it. Joe Namath can go to hell; he can kiss my ass." Greg Lloyd, after NBC commentator Joe Namath accused Lloyd of playing dirty (1991).

:rotf: That's great. Lloyd is one of my fav players of all time. Those were the days when he and Kevin Greene put major fear into any teams offense. I even had the opportunity to meet, shake hands, & b.s. with Lloyd and Greene back in the '90's...at a car show in Carlisle, PA of all places. Nice guys.

Sean Salsbury, (former QB for the Vikings now on ESPN), was asked who hit him the hardest in his career. His answer was Greg Lloyd.

yup, and if they some how made it by Green or Lloyd, Rod Woodson put the hurt'in on em'.

Louise Lipps, Bubby Brister LOL, Merial Hodge, Wudruff.....

Steelers kicked some ass!

I wouldn't mind seeing an all PA Superbowl...Pitt and Philly. I don't know why i waste my time hoping the hawks will do anything. There D is pathetic.

Howerver My SuperBowl Predication is Colts!

I'm interested, but I'd have to have at least 2 weeks notice to get the time off work (I work weekends).

I think the Steelers can do it. Farrior might not be the badass Lloyd was but their current D is pretty amazing. And, they will only get better as they are fairly young...especially in the secondary. I am jealous that you met Greene and Lloyd. Man, that would be amazing!!!!

I would be interested in making a pull. I believe matrix engineering has an awd dyno if we want to do this in Portland, i could check with my wrx buddys and see what theyve got goin.Possibly a few of us could squeeze in.
Iam always up for a meet anyhow

Are we still going to do this? Hopefully I will have my tranny replaced by then so I can make a run.
