speedo and odometer are both out

i found out the speedo and odometer on this syclone i bought went out about 1000 miles ago. is there odometer and speedo cable driven or speed sensor type. would like to get it back up and working

Check the connections on the DRAC. It's the little plastic box attached to the ECM.

where is the ECM, i don't have a manual or anything to this truck at all.

under the passenger side dash speaker.

you have to get at it from below the dash.

great i guess that means taking th bottom of the dash off, is it right beneath? can you get at from inside the glove box at all? whats does it look like before i open it up. also is it a speed sensor type set up

VSS is electrical, yes.

You need to take the plastic off the bottom. It's only 6-8 screws.
Also need to remove the kick panel on the right side... 4 screws.

One screw holds the ECM in.

The feed wire to the cluster is the shortest one in the drac harness, and likes to break. It's blue if memory serves.
