SPA Gauge settings

I have a set of SPA gauges and the EGT guage is reading funny. So far I have only had a reading of 258 deg F. I have the sensor mounted in the 3 to 4 adapter between the turbo and the headers.

What do you set the gauge for these settings?

I have the (at) set for (.4)
I have the (deg) set to (F)
I have the (uni) set to (psi)
I have the (ran) set to (16)

If anybody has SPA gauges could you let me know if these settings are right?

Thanks,

Hi ya Lewis! Met ya at the NATS in GB but, didn't see ya this year :(. Sounds like you are having the same problems that I had when I first got my SPA Design gauges... It *seems* like you have all the proper settings. My problem was I had the wrong ran setting. Tried to use 1.6 BAR instead of 16 BAR  . However, I don't have a EGT gauge (boost/trans temp and fuel pressure/IC temp) so my guess would be that maybe you have the wrong thermocouple? You might try giving Ron Mathis at SPA in IN a call at 317-271-7941. After I talked to him about my problem everything got straightened out. HTH's

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the tip to contact Ron.

I tried to keep the different thermocouples seperate during the install, but that doen't mean I may have screwed up things a bit or they may have sent me the wrong one. I have made sure that I have it set for 16 bar instead of 1.6 but that does't seem to be the problem.

I really wanted to go to the nat's this year but was not able to get the truck ready in time to go. Had some problems getting the right parts in time. It sounds like I missed some real fast trucks that invaded us from Canada. I will difinatley not miss this comming year.

Thanks LOADS :)
