South Florida meets

I would like to setup something like how naste is doing, I and another owner would like to meet up with other owners and talk SyTy or any other thing happening. I would ike to get opinions on where and when we should meet up. So far I think these are the only So.Fla. SyTy owners:

Gary
Big Al
Mike
Kaboom
champ7fl
David (me)

If any one knows of someone in south florida with a SyTy, please tell them about this post.

i thought there were a lot more fla guys. are most on north side?

Well thats what Im gonna try to start, most likely we will meet up at the tower shops.

I second the Tower Shops as a good meeting place. Easy to get to (just south of I-595 and University Drive) plus you get a free car show every Friday night.

Well thats 3 so far, Kaboom if you know of any other SyTy owners, please spread the news and tell them about this.
Now what do you guys think of as a time goes, ie what time should we meet there.

I go to Tower Shoppes regularly but usually don't bring a truck. There are many more trucks around, I have over 140 in my database from Orlando/Tampa south. Dade and Broward alone I have about 35-40.

Tower Shops is actually pretty good idea, I took the truck up there right around Christmas and got to park with the Grand National guys. One guy had a GNX. All very nice and talkative. Went back another week right around New Years and parked by myself, maybe if I'd been there a little earlier the Lightning guys may have let me in.

I'll have to follow the thread to see what pans out. As far as attendance I'm stuck in spring outage season til late May at the power plants, but hope that I luck out and can make it home...

is tower shops like right off the highway.
all the mustangs have blowers, and a bunch of old cars and a couple peolpe setup tables and sell parts in a BIG parking lot?
i think i went there with my impreza a about a year ago.

I would like to have my truck back for this get together, however, the motor is still out of it. As a matter of fact, two weeks from today is one year since the truck blew-up. I don't have a problem with any Friday that you guys choose but my past experience has been that parking spaces (in the Tower Shops' car show area) get crowded very early.

Dont worry, Ill take care of this since I dont have a job, I can get there early and save spots for everyone.

We've had F.A.S.T. (Florida Association of Syclones & Typhoons) for about 7 years now. SoFAST was spawned off of it for the southern FL guys.
FAST is having our annual meet in May in Orlando you should come up. It's always a good time.

I didnt want to use that name cause I thought it sounds to simiar(sp) to SoFasst.
