Sonoma GT With a SY/TY turbo.

Has anyone ever tried putting the syty turbo setup on a stock GT eng? I know that it wouldn't hold as much boost as the syty engine but maybe it'd hold 5 or 6 psi.

Leaving the spider injection in?
6-8 PSI shouldn't be an issue, being most bolt on supercharger kits are about that.

Nahhh I was thinking syty intake,ic,manifolds,fuel inj. Etc etc

I'm sure you could, but for all the work it would take to get all the right parts in there you are better off to just put a complete SyTy engine in. Think about the routing of turbo oil lines and coolant lines, and drilling the block/pan would be a pain while it's in there, so it would have to come out anyways.
Getting the downpipe to fit the 2wd frame takes some massaging too, easier with everything out.
