solid mount spacer plate thingy

So last time i put my engine in i ordered the poly mounts and frame pads from rpm and had a hell of a time lining up the engine in the truck, so i am sitting there grinding away at the frame pads to get it to set down and could never get it in there so i got a different set from rockford racecraft and put the engine. I still had a hard time lining it up. Jst recently found a post on here about removing the plates for rpm frame pads, should i do this now since i have the engine out and am ready to put it back in with rockfords pads?

It's not the frame pads but the steel backing plate that comes with the poly mounts. You'll have to try them with & without to see what works best with your truck. With or without one way should be easy to get the bolts lines up.

you don't use the backplates with the poly engine mounts (pretty sure it applies to the JS, Rockford Turbotime, etc)..
