Wow, that sucks. I don't suppose that's a V8 swap is it? I know the motor sits too far back (and the description says V6, but I can hope can't I?)

That was a special price for a very cool forum member . If anyone moves on this one, I have all the cladding (minus front and rear covers which are identical on the Sy Ty and Sgt).

Pretty sure. Correct wheels, seats, and steering wheel. And yes, it should have a vortec motor, hence why this SoGT is a "shame"

That would be soo cool if someone would save this truck! I have the correct Vortec H/O engine too, if anyone was interested in fixing this one up with T-Bone's parts.

Looks like 20,372 to me. But we know it's not. On a Sy or Ty, that "2" is an "1".The "8" already denotes "other than primary model produced at this plant [special]". Now the "2" denotes a sub-"special model"?? Wow, never seen / heard of this before. But I'm ready to learn:

Can any other SGT owners confirm that their VIN looks just like the one above (other than the "6", which can be anything) except for the last three numbers??

Also, the "W" in the VIN denotes "L35". The engine in this truck has been changed to what looks like an LB4. A lot of expensive parts are now missing. (Although the upper radiator hose is an L35 hose  ) And it will never be an authentic 'numbers match' again. It's probably rusty. What about the trans? The L35 calibration / clutches/ are different. It's a mess. Not worth saving if you got it for free.

DaveP

The parts to swap that truck back are cheap and plentiful. I picked up the entire upper and lower L35 intake from a running truck for $30. Ditto on the rust though. I would have parted my truck if I'd known how rusty it was going to turn out to be underneath

My GT's VIN is identical to that one, except for the last 3 digits and my 6 is an X

I remember talking to a member on here saying that the truck was only a few miles down the road from him.... he showed me pics in his gallery before the truck went on the lot.

My SoGT VIN is similar to this one. Last five digits: 20264

Re: SoGt what a shame

The truck is a True GT. It has a very nice interior with the bucket seats, console, guages and it has the factory wheels. It does not have the vortec engine, you cannot just bolt the vortec intake on that engine. It would need a complete swap. Whoever had it prior to us trashed it, we did not intend on investing $3000 to bring it back to life so we just went with bumpers front and rear and had it painted. If anyone on here would like to make an offer as the truck is, i might consider it if it is reasonable. I have a vortec engine out of a 93 blazer too for an additonal 400$. The truck does run & drive and has cold AC.

Thanks.

Its located down the road from me about 7 miles. I saw it awhile back before mpulsev got it painted and put the new stuff on. If anyone is interested, I can go take more pics of it. If you come down and buy it, more than welcome to hang out at my house and get a free dinner. Also can leave the truck with me if need be for shipping, etc.

Re: SoGt what a shame

Truck has new tires too, i am still looking for SGT decals and a matching set of GMC center caps for the truck if anyone has them let me know. Here are some more detailed pics of the rest of the truck, the interior is in pretty good shape. Really if you put the rest of the cladding back on it the truck would look pretty good.
