:) ok. my ty was making a very annoying clanking sound. turned out to be the ceramics in the cat. so i take off my cat and gut it completely. :) and from my cat back i have a borla exhaust, its like 2.5" back. it came with the ty. so after i gut the cat i drive it home from work, which is like 6 miles away. runs fine.

later that night i go out to put a wooping on a couple of mustangs, runs perfect. :) :rotf:

so the next day (today) i go out and go to the bike shop to look at some dirtbikes. on the way there it runs fine.....

then on the way home as im getting ready to turn on to the highway to starts sputtering and missing at low rpms. ...wtf.

when im going 60-70 its fine, unless i start to make boost and really mash on it.

is this a common thing with a gutted cat? ill probably throw a code soon im guessing, cause im think ing my o2 is going crazy. im i right?

what should i do?

oh yeah i probably due for some new plugs, which i have. but it ran perfect before

i completely removed the cat seprately from the whole exhaust and gutted it completely clean. i made sure there was nothing in it. when i put it back on. i dont think there is any pieces clogging it up.

That sounds like you're overboosting bad. That happened to me once and turned out the vac line to my solenoid was off. It would immediately jump up over 15psi while giving it a fair amount of throttle. Are you judging that you're not overboosting by the stock gauge?

Re: so the next day.....

Sounds like either an overboost issue or like someone else said a clogged or really restricted exhaust.. and I had a gutted stock cat on my truck for 4 years stock turbo and would over boost when the season's weather temps would change until I adjusted the wastegate accordingly.
