So how does everyone like their lowered Ty?

I am strongly considering lowering my Ty. What i wanted to know is whats the sweet spot that i should set it to? How does it feel/handle? Does it bottom out meaning the shocks? Thats probably a stupid ? but anyway..

My 1992 Typhoon is lowered 2 1/2 inches in front and has two-inch block's in the back and of course the ride is not as smooth, but the turn-in reponse is better. I am getting KYB Monomax shock's, so the ride should be even smoother.

I lowered mine in the back with 2" drop blocks. I havent noticed a change in ride quality. I have Bilsteins and 17" ZR-1s.

As far as overall handling I imagine it would be better due to lower center of gravity, however I cant confirm this as when I lowered my Ty I also popped the front sway bar loose (pulled bolt directly out of lower A-Arm.

That will be fixed soon as will the installation of a REAR sway bar. SO I imagine the handling will be dramatically different. Unfortunately since I have a shortblock remaining in the truck I wont be able to confirm this at the moment.

i dunno mine came lowered with bad shocks which still needs to be replaced. already replaced one cross member banged it on a speed bump and bent it. My ride is lower than my b-in-laws fuckin acura integra!!!!!!!

WHAT EVER YOU DO..., DO NOT DO A 3" DROP!!!
I dropped mine 3" and I have my regrets, I had it dropped at Les Schawb, they did a great job and it looks cool, but I have to take speed bumps with care, judge very carefully if I can pull into a driveway or not, broke/cracked my gas tank sheild and have this really nice "rattling noise" thanks to my drop (older post). Tires I had (which I was told would not have to be changed) rubbed. This is getting too long...

Brian, my truck is lowered 1-5/8" in the rear and whatever the front needed to match, just so you have an idea.

you can shave down your blocks (and get the angle back on it) and just raise the front back up a little...

...and Benny, its not that people don't know how to drive, its people don't know how to correctly pour a standard speed bump, I personally do not like driving over speed curbs! And what are you gonna say to rolled curbs that are entrances to driveway?

...and poor white trash with a fake syclone, its not hard to turn the wheel and go up a crub slowly. like i said, drivers are the errors, not the lowered trucks. why dont you slap a number 3 on the side of your truck, maybe you'll make it up the crub easier.

How do you guys that lowered the front 3 inches get the camber back so your tires don't wear? Isn't that a 6 inch drop from a stock 4X4? Since the Ty are allready on Belltech 3 inch lowering adjuster keys compared to a stock 4X4?
