I just replaced the whole frt end and had alignment done. Still have sloppy steering could it be steering box? Feels fine to me, personally I think it is in the column. Just wanted to get some input. Thanks.

Re: sloppy steering

Drives fine, no pulling nice and straight. Steering wheel just feels real loose. Also when I move the wheel I feel like I have to move it alot before truck reacts.

Re: sloppy steering

put a ZQ8 steering box and a solid steering shaft, problem solved! Best upgrade I did to my truck to make it handle/steer better

Yeah that will make your day, one of the best mods I did was a 12:1 box and a cherokee shaft.

After I lowered my blazer I had the same feeling, took too many turns to move the car.

Stab it and steer it
Re: sloppy steering

I haven't done the gear or shaft change but I have play. I know exactly where it is, in the shaft. Have someone sit and move the wheel back and forth just in the play and watch the shaft. I'll bet you can see it. Changing mine is on my winter list.

Re: sloppy steering

Contact Spooldup for the steering box and FiveToDrive for the steering shaft... You won't regret it.
