Re: signs of a bad front diff?

I'm fairly sure this thing was running around for a while with no front prop shaft. The one thats in there is from a junkyard (i seriously doubt GMC or PAS had to chicken scratch in paint that the prop-shaft was for a 92 typhoon on it).

I think I remember reading on here that doing that and hammering it everywhere was a good way to toast the t-case... am i remembering that correctly? :squint:

No I haven't figured this out, I had a lateral bend in a front wheel so I replaced it but the vibration is 55-60 mph haven't had the time to really sit down a say hey there Typhoon what ails you my friend? I think when I'm off of school here coming up I'll dive into it and get it solved! I'll keep you posted!

remove your front prop shaft and look over the joints and cardone joint . very prone to coming apart . also look at doing the jeep Cherokee or astro van steering shaft upgrade .

Sometimes checking something as simple as the tempurature coming from the casing after a drive can tell you something. I remember when my supra was acting weird and could'nt figure out what it was. Finally jacked it up and put my hand on the rear differential and it was on fire practically!
