Should I hear CAC pump???

I hotwired my CAC pump this evening (T'ed off yellow wire to ground). Turned ignition to the on position and laid next to the bumper but couldn't hear any thing. Should I :-? ? I know I need a better pump, but funds don't allow for that now. TIA

Yes you should be able yo hear it. check the fuse behind the alternator and then see if power is getting to the pump.

When I had the stock pump in I could feel a little vibration. I will be in Knoxville all next weekend.
