Shocks

I think I might need some new shocks, but what would be the easiest way to tell that? Every time I go over a medium sized bump my back right tire sounds like it's hitting the wheel well. It's like a really bad knocking sound. Not sure though. Also, What shocks have y'all gone with? What makes a good ride and what doesn't?

Re: Shocks

I Would Check The Usual If U Can Bounce The Truck Pretty Easily Front To Back Side To Side, When U Brake It Nose Dives Hard, Etc. I Just Got Some Bilsteins But Haven't Been Able To Test Drive It, But When I Pulled Out The Stockers They Were Shot, The Fronts Anyways The Rears Still Had A Little Life Left In Them But Everyone Agrees The Stockers Suck

Re: Shocks

Have the shocks been replaced? If not, then you need new shocks.

While you are replacing the shocks, make sure you throw a rear sway bar under there. Even if you do the cheap one out of an Extreme the difference is phenomenal.

Re: Shocks

Belltech makes both.

BEL-5525 is the Ty rear sway bar number
BEL-5954 for the lowering leafs
If you get the rear sway bar kit you may need to buy some longer bolts for the endlinks, atleast I did for my Sy. I think it was 4.5" bolts I had to buy because the ones that came with the kit where too short to get the Endlink bushings on.
