I wanted to find out how to adjust the shift-linkage for the tranny on my 92'Typhoon? When I push in the shift-lever button it's not a very smooth movement from neutral, reverse, to drive.

Thank's
Joel

just had this happen to a truck i was working on. tried bending it a bit, to make it str8 again. it ended up being the cable was just too worn out and couldnt do its job anymore. so he had to buy a new one.

Our shifter cable uses a bracket bolted to the tranny pan, not the best place for bolts to stay tight. Before you order a new cable crawl under your truck to make sure the two little bolts are there and tight. If they are lose or if one of the bolts is gone, you would have the problem you describe.
