Painted the frame and firewall, had to heat it with a jet heater under a tarp to get it warm enough for the paint to stick. It really sucked.

Re-Assembled the whole front end steering components and suspension. Still waiting on my new hub bearings to get here, ordered them Nov. 20th, bunch of bs.

Painted the C6 brake components with Plasti-Kote brake caliper paint. this stuff works great and lasts a long time. I cant wait to see them on the truck. I hate waiting on parts forever.

Haven't done much except wait on parts but I did get the time to fab up the braided brake lines that I had custom made. I need to pull the steering box back off so that I can drill and tap 2 holes in the frame behind the steering box to hold the red tee fitting you see in the pictures below. I think I am going to go ahead and repaint the box and pitman arm while I am at it. As soon as the new caliper brackets show up the C6 brake setup will be complete.

I have always read to keep the amount of braided brake line to a minimum as it expands with pressure, be curious if you get a spongy brake pedal feel with this setup.

With all the extra effort your going through to make it all smooth and nice you should pay me to build a intercooler setup and pipes. That would finish the project offf nice.
Also tuck the fuel cell up so it can't be seen from the rear. (If that's not been changed)
Those are the only two things I think really need to be addressed.
Otherwise I like the wheels and everything else!

I might have you do some ic piping for me when I change the intake setup. It's gonna be hard to do from up there though isn't it? I just bought one of RenzFab's upper intakes and plan on changing it out later on. Right now I just want it finished. What I do need made right now is a 2.5" to throttle body adapter/transition made out of aluminum.

As for the fuel cell I might be able to get it 1.5" higher but that would be it. I kinda like it personally especially with braided lines coming out both sides, looks mean when your driving behind it. I might work on that in the future though.

Ps I just called you and left a VM lets talk.

Any particular reason why didn't you pull the front axle assembly out and paint it separately? Just curious, not trying to be a dick.

Well it is a good question and it was debated but time in the shop that the truck is in is very limited. I really wanted to use that time to make everything look awesome that you will see when you pop the hood and when you open the doors. My thought was the motor sits directly on top the axle and no one will ever see it.

The long and short of it is that I have owned this truck for over 3 years and never felt any real power out of it, spent 10's of thousands of dollars on it and haven't ever driven it more than 300 miles total. I want to drive the damn thing!!!!!:rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:

I just got those wheels for my ty. What tire sizes did you go with and does it clear everything?

I went with 4 Michelin Pilot Sport Ps2's 285/30/20. Needs a 10mm spacer on rear to be 1mm out. As for clearance issues it clears fine right now but I have never driven it and I have never had the cladding on it. You will most likely have to remove you inner fenders for turning clearance.
