Serial to USB

What has every unfortunate soul with a laptop with no serial been using?
I tried a converter by Iogear no luck. I don't want to keep going down to the electronic store doing trial and error.

i use the Belkin serial to USB adaptor with no problems at all. used it for 2 years now.

What they said.Using Datamaster I bought and returned several before I found the belkin.
It usually works although I have a old laptop with a serial port that links better.

Turbolink seems to be more of a pain to get to work with usb adapters. Sy112 had a major headache getting his to link.
