Sealing exhaust leaks

I have the RPM downpipe with Innovative minigate attached to Stealth 70 turbo. I can't seem to get the exhaust leaks to go away. I have tried muffler cement but it just blows it out of the gaps. I believe I need something that will withstand high temps but don't know what is recommended. How about gasket material? Make my own? RTV sealant?
Any help would be appreciated,

try copper rtv...it's pretty good stuff if used correctly...gaps shouldn't be so big though...

What do you mean" if used correctly "? Also, what temps will it withstand?
Thanks for the quick response.

what i mean is follow the labeled directions to a t...for cleaning the mating surfaces, i used a pnuematic heavy duty inline drill (2500rpm) with a 3" steel wire brush on it...after brushing off rust and other crap down to bare metal, you apply the copper stuff...some say to put everything together immediately but i usually let the rtv flash for a minute to minimize it spewing out when clamped together...i wouldn't let it fully cure before assembly though, just let it skin a little bit...this is unless the directions state otherwise...i've never really read them...the difference between your flash time and mine would be outside air temps as my outside air temp is around 105 degrees right now and yours is alot cooler i bet...

race or get outta the way
lay a straight edge accross the mating flange of the dp flange. make sure it is truly flat. mine wasnt! had it shaved for 20 bucks to fix it. if the surface isnt flat you can use all the selaers and gaskets youwant and it will never seal.

I used some red high temp stuff made by dow corning, it came in a greenish tube. Stuff works awesome and was given to me by the guy that I bought my engine from who works for newman haas racing so I assume if he uses the stuff its got to be good.
