Screw Travelers/Liberty Mutual

Just got off the phone with them and they are refusing to give me a quote on the typhoon because it is a "performance vehicle" They asked me if it had a "converstion or special equipment" what a dumb open ended question.

I tell him i want to put 1000 miles a year on the truck and not go to jail and he says "well i can't help you"

Pisses me off because never had this problem with Safe Auto, Allstate, or State Farm. Now because of this they won't get the other 3 cars transferred over to them.

Try Country Companies. They are local Chicago local and I have all of my insurance through them. Having my TY on it (full coverage with the other 2 trucks) is just under $50 month:tup:

Re: Screw Travelers/Liberty Mutual

Are you guys just getting full coverage on the trucks like a normal car? Or are you getting it covered for what its actually worth as a agreed value for the $50-75 a month cost?

I'm going to go with allstate here soon(because my other trucks through them and I really dont feel like switching companies again.) when I get ready to actually fire up the motor in a few months. And want to know if those prices are for an agreed value or normal full coverage.

Re: Screw Travelers/Liberty Mutual

and just for the record,I found out allstate and others will tell you its agreed value but its NOT!! None of the companies are going to pay a stated value, you need a place like hagerty with a special policy

maybe true but I made sure the insurance states "syclone" and not sonoma.. plus the way the value has dropped and continues to drop on these trucks my dd mustang with 114k on it will be worth more LOL

if your truck is only a 8k truck then dont worry,But if it is worth lots more that is when you get ****ed!!they agent will tell you its covered, want to find out its not tell them you want it in writing from the underwriter. Then the story will change.

From my understanding its book value. One thing interesting at my agent is that they asked me what mods I have. Apparently, they can include your performance parts. I have not taken mine in yet to be looked at, he told next time I have some time bring it down and point out mods and give values. I thought that was kind of strange.

Re: Screw Travelers/Liberty Mutual

I have my Syclone with American Collectors. $21,000 agreed value, 2500 annual mileage restriction, $1000 deductible less than $350.00 per year. I'll have to check the policy language on "agreed value."

For liberty I provided the VIN and it is listed as a Syclone on my policy. I insure it as a pleasure vehicle which basically means it is not my primary vehicle, but I can still drive it whenever I want. I looked into collector insurance places like grundy etc and their stipulations were basically I could never drive it. As soon as I told them I wanted to be able to drive it to work once in a while they were ready to hang up the phone on me. I wanted to be able to drive it to work or during the week or any time I felt like it so I didn't go with collector type insurance. $600 per year
