Saying my 'Good-bye'

Well...another one bites the dust! This coming Saturday, Typhoon#1600 will be picked up by its new owner. They should be very happy with their 'peppy S-10 Blazer'! I will take her on a last drive tomorrow, then get her ready for transport. I will not comment on the purchaser, or where it is headed. If the buyer wants it known, they will post it.

It's been a fun journey throughout the years (14 of them actually), but its time to move on. Work here at the shop is crazy and I just don't have time for this any more. I have started a father/son project with my boy for his first car (he is 14 years old), and that has to take over the barn for the build.

Its been great making the connections and friendships over the years. I am sure we will stay in touch from time to time as my schedule permits. To those customers of mine (personally) - you can always still contact me. I will not be checking in here very often, so dont expect a swift reply via PM (if at all). If you are interested in a serious engine build (read: big-dollar build), you can reach me at the shop number in my signature below). I may pop into a Nats or Homecoming in the future as time permits...I can't say that it's totally out of my blood! I enjoy the camaraderie...and I will miss it.

All the best!

:(.....

Alex. It has been a genuine pleasure to have met, hung out, shoot the shit, and learn from you over the years. It sucks to read this and for you to not have a truck, but family comes first. I have a feeling that another Ty will make its way to you in the future!. Hope to still see you at events and gatherings. Take care and best wishes.

Don't be a stranger Alex, you know you are always welcome to events. Glad to see things are busy for you and you are happy in your endeavors.

No reason to write out a huge paragraph....you'll still be around to check on us dummies ;)

Re: Saying my 'Good-bye'

I'm glad I got to meet you and your son at the Sportruck Shootout. I have gained a lot of help and knowledge from your post over the years. I learned a lot on tuning just listening to you and Jeff at the event. Thanks for all your help to the group.

Alex, you cheating on me? How come I am the last to know this stuff, I thought we were twin brothers from another mother.

You do realize a twin turbo big block chevy in a fiat sounds cool on paper, but is probably not the best choice for a father son project.

Have fun with your father & son project. Thanks for your help, advice, and all the parts I've purchased from you over the years. They will live on in my Typhoon.
