in order to use my '95 corvette saw blades 17''x8.5" frt. and 17''x9.5" rr on my '92 typhoon will i need spacers(if so, what thickness) or will i need longer studs or will they bolt right on? i know i will have to chop down the front cv axles a bit in order to get the center caps to fit. any help out there?

That's what I run on mine. Here's some pics. I run the rear w/o spacers. You can use 1" spacers for proper look but they work w/o them. You shouldn't need longer studs as they have their own.

Here's a link to my '93 with the same wheels. No adapters on the back, never was comfortable with the idea. Can't remember what size tires I'm running, but everything clears and looks great.

If you have stock brakes you are fine. If you've done any brake upgrades to the front, the fronts will need a 1/2" spacer. I'm just doing this until I can afford to buy new wheels and tires as I'm sure as hell not taking off the C5 brake setup.
