It really broke Christina's heart too. I think she made up for it in the bracket racing...she made it to the final and that was the first time she ever bracket raced.

Erik...Im pretty sure didnt quite make it to the 13's but you were very close. Pat has the sheets from the tower that show everybodys times, he can look up your best time of the day. Its very hard to run a 13 second pass in a stock Ty in that heat. Its only been done twice at the nats in the past 3 years! Your Ty runs great! You ran verrrrrrry low 14's all day! Dont pay attention to Renz...he's just giving you a hard time. Just remind him that you won the stock class and his truck doesnt even run.:lol:

LOL...If homeboy Clements had chinbars you two would be clones! :rotf: ;) I did try to mix things up a bit and wear my blue "Al's Trailer Trash" hat, but the bars will stay! :rotf:

I always try and keep my eye on the gauges Temp and Oil pressure. It is hardest on the inner most front tire though!!!

The oil pan on these is trucks are very shallow for the front 3/4 then pretty deep but narrow in the back 1/4 due to the awd. The oil pick-up should be within a quarter inch of the bottom of the pan. So not to big of an issue with running dry. Btw the g force is not that bad, the GM tech guy did not even spill his beer!!

That video is cool but it wasnt Jeremy's best driving move of the Nats. If he wasnt such a good driver Brian & Jill wouldve been looking for a new tow vehicle!

Joe your wife is my hero! (Keep it clean guys!!) A 13.8 in a stock Ty at KC with the heat and Altitude. This fall at Bowling Green it should run a 13.3 or better!! I beleive she had a 1.68 60' also. Incredible. The best I have ever had in my truck is a 1.700. If I can't get my truck to run better than 12.0 at this falls Bowling Green meet I am put her in the truck for a gonzo 11.9 pass. Of course it helps that she weighs about 90lbs too.:tup:

If my wife ever out ran me in my Sy I would never here the end of it. You are a brave man Joe.


Also I think my truck would have lost the battle with Brian & Jill sierra...really glad not to find out.

I know...i think ive created a monster! That 1.68 60" was CRAZY!! Her first run was better than the 13.88. Her 1/8th was a 8.6 (better than the 1/8th in the 13.88 pass) but shes only run the 1/4 a few times so she let out a little early! That Ty is a freak too! It was running 3 - 4 mph faster than the other stock Ty's all day! All i need to do now is work on her nerves a little. She is still talking about that red light!


Oh yeah...she still hasnt beaten my best 1/8th in the Ty....i went 8.52 in Clarksville. ;)

Just to compare the best my truck went bone stock was a 8.56@ 80 in the 1/8.

Thats about the same times as my Sy. Maybe they'll pick our Ty for the GMHTP Supercar Shootout....That would be the perfect time for that 8.3.:)

My best in the Ty down here at Houston was a 8.6 somthing. That was with a crappy 1.9 60' ft. Is what sucks is a few months before i was hitting 8.8's with a 1.74 60' to be exact. Im tempted to take this thing to the 1/4mile track this weekend to turn a 13.80 or better. Joe thats very awsome to get that low of a 1/8th mile time out of a stock Ty. Joe, tell your wife to keep up the good launch's and work on the lights becuase i'll be ready for her again next year.... I've got a couple little secrets to try, I will also have the Sy attending as well.

Dont worry. She'll get some more practice time. Im not going o try any "secrets", its going to stay 100% stock.
