safe RWD?

if i temporarally pull the drive shaft from the transfer case to the front diff will this do any damage? im worried that the transfer case and front diff may spin freely and with no lubrication, like towing one of these trucks and cause all sorts of problems

i have been frying the shit outta my 315's now for over a week with no ill effects - other then rear tire life!
propshaft's going back in next week, tho -
