Rubber Removal??

I have rubber clear up the side of my car from burnouts at the track (FWD) and I was wondering what you guys would reccomend to get it off. Thanks

Have you tried gasoline or bug and tar remover? I've never had to clean rubber off my car, but those would be the first two I'd try.

Rubber Removal:

Start at the base. Carefully matt down any hairs. Slowly roll it upwards (away from the body). At some point you can pull it the rest of the way off.

Alternative Rubber Removal:

Grab the latest issue of Martha Stewart's Living. Under normal circumstances this should be enough to remove the rubber. Sometimes it may be necessary to open the magazine up and read a reader response. If this method fails refer to the previous method, and consult a psychiatrist.

WD40. Let it soak a minute or two. Rinse it with lots of water. Follow with a cleaner wax.

Or just go to a speed shop and get some spray to keep it from sticking in the first place. I have some stuff out in the garage....the name eludes me at this hour....that I spray on the Buick before I go to the track. When I get home I hit the rear fenders with the garden hose and stuff it back in the garage. Done deal.

Seems weird discussing this matter on this board.

i started using the burnout guard stuff on my paint beofre i go to the track.

like a soap solution, rubber is on the soap not the paint. barely noticable when applied and then dry. rubber rinses off with the soap.
