Rolling on Dubz 20" Wheel and Tire Package.

I am the proud owner of TY2122 and in my everyday job I sell custom wheels for American Racing. The first thing I set out to do is hook my ride up with some of the best looking wheels and tires I could find for my beast. The first set up is listed as follows: Wheel Brand (Epic) Tire Brand (Hankook) this package comes complete mounted and balance and ready to be bolted on to your Typhoon in 10 mins. or less. Wheel size is 20x8.5 (front) and 20x8.5 in the (rear). The trick is the staggered offset on this set of wheels witch require NO SPACERS. The front wheels have a 40mm offset and the rear have a 12mm offset. The bolt circle on the Typhoon is 5x4.75 witch converts metrically into 5x120.7, since most late model Camaro’s and Firebird’s have this same fitment issues they will work on them as well. The bolt circle on the wheels I run are a BMW application 5x120mm witch is off by .7 hundreds of a mm. To correct the difference in the application I used a plastic hub centering ring to eliminate any vibration that could occur. These wheels run smooth at 120+ mph (tested almost daily). The next upgrade after these wheels are put on is naturally the braking system. Stay tuned. Contact me for the different wheel and tire packages that are available for our trucks. I think they look pretty good, although I'm not a fan of 20's on these trucks. How's the ride with those things?

They ride like the factory wheels and tires (witch I still have) to be honest with you. I did not lower the truck witch I think would stiffen the ride too much with this set up.

You're from the Lansing area? We live in GR, and my wife's family is from Adrian-ish, so we drive through Lansing a decent amount...

Even going to 17's has been shown to hurt traction because of the stiffer sidewalls, so I don't think a lot of owners (most of whom seem to be performance-oriented) will go this route...

Besides 8.5 wheels will look WAY to skinny especially on a 20" wheel.

I think for most owners 18" are the max that look good. 20" is getting a bit ghetto. :eek:

i think it looks good, if this was amonth ago i would have bought these, i like the look but my suspension also needs help, i put my 18s on and it brought out every bump :eek:

I think it looks nice. It's good to see you got them to work as Dubs have been tried in the past and didn't work real well.

Something tells me you won't be around long...

On topic: I like the 20's. I'm not sure how it would be from a performance standpoint, but for a 13-ish second Ty....I imagine it wouldn't be too bad. Although, getting into much higher performance, the 20's would have to come off.

mr (miss?) ss seems to have a finger fetish....perhaps your boyfriend doesnt do it well enough for you. There is a reason why everyone one elses post refer to IN my opinion. They are expressing their opinion and being polite, not a dick.

Wheels look good. Any chance of offering a 18" wheel and tire package.
18's would be great for a daily driver and then they could keep stockers for racing....

i wouldnt want some big heavy chrome weights dragging down my truck but that is just my opinion...the stock wheels are heavy enough.

PLASTIC spacers??? are you sure you don't want billet or something substantial?
