The truck has 48,000 miles on it and recently developed a slight knock .After it warms up but not on cold start. If you rev the engine after it warms up the knock goes away, until idle rpm's come back.
I removed the belt and started the truck and the knock is still there
I checked the flywheel for cracks or lose bolts and found nothing wrong
Broke out the stehoscope(sp) and it really sounded like internal, so I remove the oil pan and rod bearing caps and they all look good.
So I guess what i'm asking ,since I went this far should I go ahead and replace the rod bearing since I went this far  Or should I just button it up ? I'm just pissed right now and need second opinions
