Friday night and nothing to do, me and my friend headed down to a new local street race hang out. We pull in and parked, no-one even bother to look at our car (my is a red/gray TY, my buddy is a Neon on a bottle that run consistent 12.8). At about 12:15 the cruise started. From E Broad we headed N on I270. There were about 20 bikes leading the pack, and about a hundred cars. So we basically blocked I270. Basically if you wanna race somebody, you just pull right next to them, slow down, line up, and on the third honk take off. There were two fast cars that've been "owned" the even, a blue Mitsu Evo 8 and a red C5 on the bottle, they both have been "worked on". I got to race with both of them three times, first from a 20 roll, no contest to about 100, the C5 blew by me. Second run from a stop, by the time I got to 60, the other two aborted the race (I was about at least 10 Ty lengths on them). And the third run was from a 40 roll, the Evo hung with me to 100, the C5 blew past me at about 80. It was my first time ever to do such a cruise, it was an eyes opening event. Afterward, we got back to the hang out spot, everybody ran over and check out the dirty Ty. They were all speculating me running nos (because the braided turbo oil feed line). Some guys in a trailer queen 8's Camaro came over and ask me if I wanna race him 1/4 mile for money, I just politely decline. A little bit later another guy in a mean looking Nova came over and ask me to race, I again decline. Both of these guy wasn't in the cruise earlier. There were some Supras and RX7 but I didn't get to run with them. There were a lot of Subaru WRX, but none would bother to run with even from a stop or a roll. So at about 2:00 I headed home feeling all pump up about my Ty. I think I fall in love with it all over again!!!
