Removing the EGR

With F.A.S.T? Do I only have to make a blockoff plate and just plug the vaccum hoses? Is there anything else to worry about?

Can EGR cause engines to knock?

remove the solenoid, the vaccum lines, and put a block off plate on will do. i went ahead and plugged the lower intake just to keep the exhaust out of the upper.

they reduce heat, emissions, and fuel consumption when cruising. But they only hurt you for high throttle conditions, helping to heat the incoming air.

Ok I'll plug the lower intake in the fall then. Removing the TB and the lower intake to change heads so...
