For the guys that have done it

I am thinking of doing rear disks
My question is how well do they hold boost for a good launch ?
I am doing baers in the front and have all the upgrades in the rear and can hold 15 psi at the line. i know disks cant hold as much but how much ?

I have done the baers yet but with the brakes i have i can not stop at high speeds

I'll know more next weekend :)

Todd Dearborn (Tydriver) said he had no problem holding 10# - which was about the same he was doing with the drums.

I was worried about that to, I dont have a super strong build but I can hold 10-15PSI if needed on the line. More that before thats for sure.

I just reread what I wrote, and I dont even understand my last sentance. What I meant to say was that before the brake swap I was not able to hold as much boost as I can now.

I have cross drilled stock rotors hawk pads braided brake lines all around big wheel cylinders all big shoes in the back and i have held 15 psi with no problem.
I just got bear 12 front kit and am getting ls1 rear disks and would like to hold that if i can I launch at about 10 so if i can hold 10 i would be happy :D :D

I guess we will see

Get some line locks.

You can use dinky brakes and just up the pressure with line locks. Go up to the line, let it idle for lots of vacuum, hold the line lock button, and pump those brakes!

My omni has tiny brakes, and I can hold the car dead still on the line. Max boost is unknown, but I know that the axle will snap in half before the car will move forward.
