Radiator oil cooler fitting size?

Code what?
Doing a braided conversion and cant find the correct size AN fitting to connect the lines
to the cooler in the radiator like the stock setup. searched for an hour and im giving up. Have everything except those to complete everything.

Came up with a search and found 1/2"-20 but know one could verify it. is this correct
before i order some.

Thats the right size, you can get them from summit. RUSSEL part number i cant remember.I have a list of all the parts you need to do braided oil lines in -8AN with the stock remote blocks. list totals at $225 considering you have a tap and die 3/8 NPT.

Is this the oil lines from the block to the remote oil filter ? If so can you send me a list of the parts that you used to convert the oil lines I like to change mind to . Panpor@Aol.com :tup:

This is my list i have for a stock swap to braided (no external cooler). Requires drilling and tapping 6 holes to 3/8" NPT in the block and remote adapters. I cant remember what size i used to drill the holes, 5/16 i think. would have to look at a tap chart. A diagram of where they are used would make more sence, this is what i found would work for me.

RUS640390 2X -8AN ½” NPT
RUS66048 6X -8AN 3/8” NPT
RUS61003 2X -8AN STRAIGHT
RUS61310 2X -8AN 45DEG SWIVEL
RUS61317 4X -8AN 90DEG SWIVEL
RUS632120 10’ -8AN 10’

stock radiator fitting's are not 1/2 NPT, still looking for correct fitting to -8AN.

I'm doing the same thing right now, and the radiator are the last 2 fittings. I measured the radiator ports at 18x1.5. I tried the 1/2 20 and it would not thread correctly.

Did anyone figure out what size fitting is needed for the radiator? I am doing the same job and am stuck on the 2 fittings.

1/2"-20 is too small (-20 fits the tranny cooler only).
1/2" NPT is the correct size but the wrong thread and will not thread onto the oil cooler.

-8AN male (yes -8AN) actually seals to the oil cooler but it's a loose fit until tightened.

My guess is a 1/2 NPT tranny thread may work (has a seal ring, similar to the stock oil cooler lines), if someone wants to chime in on what actually fits to the stock oil cooler. Inquiring minds want to know...

could be a metric..

I'm not sure if Harmon used the stock radiator as the cooler or an aftermarket one, but I know he did all braided for it. Maybe he'll chime in.

dump the stock radiator "cooler" as it doesnt really cool if you need it do a aftermarket one in front of the rad

I dumped the stock radiator ports and im running a b&m cooler. By doing that my temps dropped 5 deg. i think with the coolant-oil-tranny all running through that lil radiator makes it more hot. :2cents:
