Sy/Ty's get off the line MUCH better than the SS's do in stock form. the torque management GM uses to save the tranny's is a pain :rant: .
i LOVE Sy/Ty's. they're the forefathers of fast trucks/suv's, and i think it's great that even after all these years they're still a force to be reckoned with.....even in stock form. they're the reason i bought the TBSS. i was actually going to build a Syclone knockoff (AWD with turbo V6 or really stout V8) when i came across the SS for sale. my wife had an easier time justifying buying a new car instead of me building my project, so i ended up with the SS. but i've been happy with my purchase.
it's still a dream of mine to own a Sy/Ty one day though. but in the mean time i'll have to make due with the SS. the LS2 is still a good starting point though. the Sy/Ty is my inspriation, but just like any student to their mentor....i have ya'll in my sights :tup:
