avgas can be found at any local airport. try the smaller ones as they sell it much cheaper and wont look at you so funny when you tell them you want it for your car. btw I've used the stuff in the past and I'd reccommend you find 100 or 104 unleaded race gas before using 100LL.

100 LL avgas is for slow spinning air cooled engines for the most part. Not for high performance by any means. It does have more lead in it than any automobile gas ever had though.
I filled up a tank full of avgas in my 65 ss Malibu 8.75 to one compression, because it was free,(defueling airplanes for inspections) it ran way slower, it did smell nice though.
Basically, if you do run it, just put a couple gallons mixed w/91-93 octane. it really is not a performance fuel.

I have read on one of the SYTY sites that there are diffrent types of av gas out there. and some othe rmembers have told me of a additive that can be found a hardware stores. i will do more research and wait till i tune my truck before adding this stuff.

Nowadays I only see 100 low lead.
There used to be 130-140 octane if I remember correct?
The additive is Xylene.

They carry everything up to 120 octane, so whatever you need, they have you covered

I was told by a freind of mine that there is a Sunoco station on US27 off of Sheridan heading north that sells Race gas Not sure on the octane but he said it was like $5 a gal. Also I still belive Dade corners on Krome and 8st still sells AV gas but you can not directly put it in your car, you have to bring containers and fill them up. HTH
