Have you guys seen this? From the October 2003 issue of GMHTP under Rick Jensen’s editorial section entitled “Why GM High-Tech Performance?”:
“In a nutshell, GM High-Tech celebrates and enhances today’s high-tech muscle car. Big and bad Impala Sses that seat six and still snap your head back. LS6-, LS1-, LT1-, L98-, and LB9-powered Vettes and F-bodies that have carried the band-for-the-buck torch ever since 1985. Turbocharged, intercooled, all-wheel-drive Syclones and Typhoons that you definitely don’t want to meet at a stoplight.”
The last line has me rather confused. I’ve been a GMHTP subscriber for over two years now, and I can honestly not remember ever seeing any featured sytys being “celebrated” or any tech articles that would “enhance” the performance of my truck. Did I miss an issue perhaps? I’ve seen a Ty or 2 scattered about in the “Street Heat” section on rare occasions, but that’s about it. Not trying to blast GMHTP, just curious if I have in fact missed something. If not, I think Jensen’s description of the mag is rather inaccurate, no?
BTW, if you’re wondering why you didn’t get a copy of Oct’s issue in the mail, it’s b/c it was only available as a promo issue.
