question about value

I found my wifes dream car a 66 beetle convertible (that has been fully restored), I would be able to purchase it at the beginning of August without selling my Syclone, but would need to sell the syclone for garage space and seeing as I will be moving within the next 6months I dont want to have to move 4 vehicles. So, I was wondering about what my syclone would bring today.

I was going to sell it about a year ago, here is the information from that post.

27xxx miles

Aftermarket Parts:
Previous Owner:
-KB Front Mount Intercooler
-KB Cold Air Intake
-KB battery relocation kit (in front of rear pass. side tire)
-6-dsc cd changer in glove box w/ tape deck head unit
-2 8" subwoofers w/amp in custom box behind seat w/2 4x6"

Installed by Me:
-AFPR

Comes with:
-3 gauge pod (not installed)
-all datamaster connections needed

Info:
Body:
-Limited Surface rust on undercarriage.
-Original Factory Paint in very good condition.
-Three slight door dings:
>1 on driver's side bed.
>1 on passenger's side front fender.
>1 on driver's side door.
(By slight i mean that they are really hard to spot w/out
the sun shining on them)
-The front bumper body cladding sits about 1/2" lower then
the front wheel well cladding due to the FMIC sharing the
same mounting bolts.
-The driver's sider rocker cladding has a crack in it (not seen in pictures)
-The passenger rear wheel cladding (the one that makes the
arch doesn't match flush with the next piece of cladding
coming from the rear of the truck)(see pictures)
-The bed cover is missing some of the snaps and is starting
to show its age.
-The front grill has a crack in the bottom of it from the
trip home when i first got the truck(very slight takes me about a minute to find it).

Interior:
-The headliner fell about a week after i brought it to
Alabama from N.C. and will need replaced.
-Nothing else out of place.

Other:
-Bought in 2005 in North Carolina w/22000 miles on it.
-Replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap last in middle of 06.
-Tires may need to be balanced and rotated.
-Truck has sat for 3/4months but was in running fine when
parked.
-Last time i had it on my datamaster it showed no codes after
install of AFPR (b4 I formatted my hd on my laptop and since
i had to have a friend purchase it for me and we have fallen
out of touch i dont have that to go along with the truck.)
-If anyone would like a datamaster recording i can get the
beta version i believe off the web and make one for you.
-Since I purchased this truck in '05 it has been covered and
under a carport.
-Never raced or ran above about 80mph since I bought it 'cept
for once in 2005 when I ran a 71 vette from a 60mph roll to
about 95mph.
-Never boost launched/powerbraked as long as i have owned it.

Thats about all I can think of. Only problems I have ever had with the truck can
pretty much be summed up as the AFPR vaccuum connection went out and caused me to
immidiately park the truck until i was able to track down the problem and repair it.
The truck is probably in need of a tune-up just because I think the wires and plugs
are a little over a year old and the oil is about 7month or so (synthetic amsoil).

Here are some pictures but they were taking at the beginning of last year (06)
although nothing has changed in this time. Car is located in Ariton, AL.

Re: question about value

hard to tell by the pics looks like a 80k mile sy. real value 17-19 what you could get maybe 10-14 depends on the buyer and right now there is not many out there.

Re: question about value

Didn't you try to sell this truck last year for $10 or $12,000. I thought it had some issues then....thus the price. Anyway, what it is worth and what you will get are two different extremes. Anyone considering unloading a Syclone or Typhoon should do it rather than wait. I don't foresee the market getting better anytime soon.

Re: question about value

btw if the value of our trucks has dropped has the cost of some of the pieces dropped as well or stayed about the same? Because to be quite honest I would rather keep this truck then get a bug, just gotta keep the wife happy.

Parts I'd need would be:
headliner
driver's side rocker cladding

Thanks
Sean
