Re: quad cab syclone

Just off the top of my head, you're going from 1st gen to 2nd gen. so migrating the wiring will be a challenge. Not impossible, but a challenge. It's an interesting idea. I'm sure others will chime in.

For smogging.
They go by the year of the car,not the engine year, not sure if you will pass smog ?

Do you need to smog test cars?

Re: quad cab syclone

With as cheap as sytys are these days , youd be better off selling the truck and motor and saving the headaches . You could take a reliable s-10 and turn it into a un-reliable clone real quick .

Ugh.it may be that i have had a bad day, and a "little" drunk but why bother. What is the the best thing that could happen? Un-reliable quad cab? If you really want to mod that truck, drop an 8 in it. not to discourage but just is not worth it. Maybe i just have had it with cat piss soaked houses and tired of bad ideas. dunno.

Yes but on the up side you could have 4 friends with you that could help push it unlike a Sy that only carries 1

Having said that i do like the idea of a quad cab clone. It only becomes a waste of money when the owner of a project thinks so. Do your homework and if you think you can do it go for it, i for one would like to see it when its done.

What year is your quad cab? If it's 98 or newer then look at this thread I posted on FullThrottleV6.com
It'll guide you through the process.

What year is the quad?
2WD or 4 WD?

All you need to do is transfer the exhaust manifolds and use the existing engine/PCM (if it is after 2001)

Then install the Edelbrock 2114 manifold welded for injector bungs. Switch over to air-air.

OR -You can use the sy manifold, but you have to modify it to fit the newer heads. :2cents:
