I just got some of the black 18s off a camaro. I know tire size has been talked about all over this forum but theres so many that im having trouble finding my answer. I believe i need 275/35/18s, is this correct? and does anyone know what size spacers i may need for the rear? They are the black steel ls wheels with the silver beauty ring. Anyone running them?

Uh... RS rims are 20".

Sounds like you have the "heritage" rims, cause those are the only ones that come in 18s/black/beauty ring. They are 18x7.5

The 18s come on the camaro with 245/55/18

It's your truck, but honestly I think those rims are a horrible choice...unless you are putting on a Sonoma GT, which the heritage rim somewhat matches the stock SGT rim. Just my opinion, and you know the saying on that....

Use this calculator to figure out what size tires to run.
http://syclone.invisibill.net/tirecalc.html
There's not enough clearance for a tire taller than 27".

I have 20s on mine. You'll have to cut the center hub of those rims.
I would bet your going to need 1"-1.25"spacers on the rear also IF all 4 rims are the same width & offset.
Are your front axle shaft ends cut off already?

Stock 18" Camaro from tirerack shows:

Offset: 35mm
Backspacing: 5.90"
Rec. Tire Size:245/55-18 = 28.6" rolling dia.

Yes, 275/35/18s are the ideal tire size for an 18" wheel.

Identical to stock height.

Re: putting on 2011 camaro 18s

if those rims are 7.5 or 8" wide the 275 will be to big puffy looking
275 are best on 9-10" wheels
Id go 255/40/18 for a little bigger than stock at 26
or 245/40/18 for very close to stock 25.7

Make sure when you cut the end off the axle you leave the nut on. If you don't it'll be a nightmare to try and get back on, just FYI.

I miss understood I was taking it as 7.5" was an option.

Disregard bigb0783, do this ^ instead.

Just saw your pics in the pics thread...

Im surprised on how good these rims look on the truck. On the Camaro, they are awful, but they seem to work with our bricks!

Nice job!

Any chance you can weigh one of those wheels? Could make for a good track/auto x wheel...if it would clear the brakes.
