the only part that sux about that hoist (I have one as well) is that you have to jack the front end up to get the front casters to go under the truck. Or you could remove the front tires.

Are you F-ing kidding!? I hadn't even thought of that. Well, no big deal to pull just one wheel off. Motor's coming out, one way or another.

OK, motor is out. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The oil pan got a little scuffed on the front pumpkin while maneuvering the engine out, but otherwise no drama. Now my mission to get all the new goodies ASAP so I can get this beast back on the road.

Cool.
When you put it back in you'll want the engine leveler to run parallel with the motor. It will help with reinstalling it in the bay and back on the mounts.

Did you find out what was wrong with the motor yet?

No, the motor still ran perfectly when I parked it. I just didn't trust it anymore since I lost two new turbos within a few thousand miles. The only metal I found in the exhaust was a piece of turbine blade lodged in the cat honeycomb. It looks to me like I just had two 60-1 turbos fail. Maybe I ran them too hard or got lemons...not sure. If anyone wants a great rebuild core motor, let me know.

LMAO @ the creeper on the grass.
I get so pissed off at mine trying to move around on the cement, can't imagine what it would be like on the grass.

Yeah I threw my back out with that one. I just didn't have much of a choice in locations to do this.
