I am new to AWD (novice with cars in general) and I've come to find out that the ty that was sold to me had no front driveshaft... i admit i know nothing and therefore am a dumbass... Just to clarify, the front driveshaft (propshaft) goes from behind the front driver side tire (trans axle?) to in front of the rear driver side tire (transfer case?) correct? and I'm just finding this out nearly a year after buying.... real nice huh... go ahead and laugh while i'm shooting myself again... Stealership got me pretty good... not really sure what i should do about that yet either as I just figured out yesterday my AWD was actually RWD. I guess I never figured it out cause everyone on syty.net had me afraid i was gonna blow up the transfercase, trans, or propshaft if i rodded it around... i never powerbraked it or even roasted the tires... I mean it still took off like a bat outta hell so i never had any reason to think it wasnt preforming properly. wrong... Why would they take it out or do they break from stress? I guess im going to need to find a used one so i can put it in and make sure nothing else is f'd up up front... this could suck... I probably should have listened to you guys about how much of a nightmare tys can be sometimes... I've had it for almost a year and maybe had it on the road a month out of that year between a fender bender and finding cladding. Had to replace the ugly s-10 bumper cover and bumper that came on it with an original typhoon bumper/cover and then this...
anyone happen to have a stock front driveshaft that they're lookin to get rid of... i know i should just get a Gilberts but im kinda low on ca$h right now... and by right now i mean always..... lol
